Chrissy Teigen tweeted out a question to the internet, and got one response she didn’t expect.
“what is a tattoo you wanted when you were younger but, thankfully, never got? mine is Kermit” Teigen tweeted. Much to her shock, and to the amusement of the internet, Kermit the frog himself replied.
“Whew! Glad to hear it. Now I don’t feel so bad about not getting that @chrissyteigen tattoo,” Kermit tweeted.
The Twitterverse erupted with joy at the sight of a supermodel getting owned by a Muppet. Fans tweeted their delight, often in the form of amused video clips or images.
Teigen, for her part, took the response in stride. “I think kermit just low key dissed me I love him even more now,” she tweeted later.
Though Teigen continues her successful career as a model and businesswoman, Kermit has had some employment woes the past few years. After scoring a hit film with “The Muppets” back in 2011, Kermit watched as the sequel “Muppets Most Wanted” died at the box office. An attempt at a “The Office”-style sitcom, titled simply “The Muppets” failed on ABC last year.
September 2017 has seen Kermit and company make a comeback of sorts with a series of popular concerts at The Hollywood Bowl.
No word on if Teigen or Kermit plan to get other tattoos.
