Husband Leaves Wife For Her Sister, Not Knowing She Won The Lottery Just Moments Before
The old saying “what goes around, comes around” is applicable to many situations, good and bad. This story is one that proves this and just goes to show, karma will come back to bite those that deserve it.
Our hero is a lady by the name of Laura who learned in the worst possible way that her husband was not at all who she thought he was.
Ups And Downs
Laura was a happy go lucky woman who lived a simple life with her husband of seven years, Gary. They had their ups and down but she loved him from the bottom of her heart and would do anything for him.
This is why it made what she discovered that day all the more painful.
Two Ships In The Night
Things had been undeniably rough between the couple the past while. Gary worked at a bar and Laura in an office and their hours rarely matched up anymore. It hadn’t been like that when they met.
When Laura came home from work he had usually just left. They were like two passing ships in the night. This is when she got a wild idea that just might be the solution to their miscommunication.
Giddy Teenager
Laura left work that day feeling like a giddy teenager. She was going to make her marriage work again. She was going to do whatever it took to bring back that spark, no matter how hard it was.
She knew Gary was off tonight, an odd coincidence as his Fridays were usually always in the bar. She decided to swing by the store on her way home to pick up ingredients for his favorite dinner and a bottle of wine. While she was at the till that’s when it struck her like a lightning bolt.
Spontaneous Purchase
“Anything else madam?” said the shop assistant to Laura. Laura stared into space for about five seconds, her eyes widening and mouth making an O. “Yes!” she exclaimed. “I’ll have one quick pick of the lottery, please. I’m going to save my marriage!” she told the greasy faced teen.
“Good for you madam!” he said as he handed her the ticket. What happened next made Laura realize anything was possible.
