While Sabrina Carpenter is getting ready to release a third album, her hype-heavy fanbase known as the #Carpenters are losing their collective mind on Twitter.
The “Why” singer chatted with on-air iHeartRadio personality Brian Fink about the album drop while backstage at the 93.3-FLZ Jingle Ball. Carpenter, who took a break from performance prep to chat with Fink was all smiles as she teased the upcoming release of the third installment in her discography, SC3.
When pressed by the interviewer about her Twitter followers desperate for a concrete album drop date, Carpenter failed to deliver. “I’m sure [everybody wants to know], I want to know,” she said. “I’m honestly getting very excited. That’s all I keep saying because I feel like over the past year, I feel like there’s been quite a change in my music, in my growth. I think they always know that I like to keep them on their toes so I’m going to continue to do that. But ‘SC3’ is coming a long way right now.”
Fresh off of debuting two successful singles “Hands” and “First Love,” and the completion of a 32-city sold out tour, the #Carpenters are at peak fangirl status, anxiously awaiting the album release. Taking to Twitter to vent their frustration at Carpenter skillfully evading a direct line of questioning about the drop date, the 18-year-old’s fanbase proved they were comfortable letting their idol know that they’ve been waiting long enough.
