Kate Middleton and Prince William Debut Royal Baby

Kate Middleton and Prince William made their first royal appearance following the birth of their son.

At around 7:15 p.m. BST, the British Monarchy’s newest family of three exited St. Mary’s Hospital to much anticipated fanfare.

Kate and Will walked out onto the steps of the Lindo Wing—the same wing that Princess Diana and Prince Charles debuted Prince William in 1982—with Kate carrying the baby boy first.

She later handed him off to William as they approached the press pool to answer a few questions. At this time, they apologetically stated that the boy doesn’t have a name yet.

After re-entering the hospital to safely secure the baby in a car seat, the trio stepped back out and climbed into a waiting car, which whisked them away to Kensington Palace.
