Kate Middleton Snubbed From UK Powerful Women List

Some British radio station, BBC Radio 4, has just released their first-ever Woman’s Hour top 100 list, which is similar to Time Magazine’s “Most Influential People In the World” list, except with females only.

This list aimed to name the most powerful women in the UK and in all 100 of those spots; Kate Middleton was nowhere to be found.  Call it a snub, we’re calling it an outrage!

Apparently Kate Middleton isn’t powerful, according to the UK judging panel which consisted of journalists, politicians and authors.

Ladies they DID think were “powerful,” included Queen Elizabeth (who topped the list), Victoria Beckham, Adele, Stella McCartney, and J.K. Rowling to name a few.

The list makers were very aware that Kate’s exclusion would cause an outrage.

“Inevitably not everyone will agree with our 100. There are some omissions. For example, we had long debates about the Duchess of Cambridge. Is she influential? Hugely. Is she powerful? Not yet,” says one of the list makers.

Are you saying that Kate Middleton’s appearances at children’s hospitals and rare speaking engagements aren’t powerful!? She’s totally powerful! She did that thing…or well, she wore that dress, no wait, we’ll think of something powerful she did…OK, Kate’s only power is that nude pumps have stayed fashionable for way too long!

The list makers continue: “Most women on our list have power because they have reached a place where they have control – of policy, of direction, of influence, of staff. The panel also included some women who have soft power – the ability to transform the way we think about ourselves.”
