The 2016 Golden Globes were a golden sh*t show last night, and while you’d think everyone would be buzzing about Leonardo DiCaprio’s win for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for his role in The Revenant, that’s not exactly the case.

When Lady Gaga made her way to the stage to accept the award for Best Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries, she accidently brushed Leo’s chair and the cameras caught his unexpected reaction to her perfectly sculpted gown hitting his shoulder.

And of course, it took absolutely no time for the Internet to respond to Leo’s cringing face.

However, in an exclusive after-show interview with Entertainment Tonight, when ET’s Cameron Mathison told Leo that the moment was the talk of the Internet, he responded with: “Oh lord—that’s trending, huh? I just didn’t know what was passing me, that’s all!”

Nice cover.

Anyway, I don’t think DiCaprio was too focused on the whole Lady Gaga thing, seeing as The Revenant took home three awards last night, including Best Director and Best Motion Picture – Drama. The 41-year-old actor said, “This is a type of film that you won’t see coming out of the Hollywood studio system very often. It’s an epic art film and I’m just so happy it got recognized tonight. I want to make more movies like this, and I want the studios to take more chances on movies like this.”

Maybe this will finally be the year that Leo wins an Oscar. Or maybe he’ll make the same cringing face when Lady Gaga somehow wins an Oscar before he does.

Awards season is vicious, man.
