Strict Rules That Ellen Makes Her Audience Members Follow
The Ellen DeGeneres Show is arguably the most popular talk show in America. Trying to get tickets for Ellen’s show is insanely difficult, but for those lucky enough to attend, they have stories about their experiences.
Some found that Ellen’s rules for her audience members are a little too strict.
No Photos Allowed
Photos are not allowed on the stage where Ellen films her daily talk show, however, photos are allowed while waiting in line and while shopping in the Ellen Shop. Please do not attempt it; someone from production will come over and have you delete any photos you take.
There is No Time for Autographs
If you arrive at a taping of the Ellen DeGeneres Show with the hope that Ellen will be able to sign your favorite book or photo, think again; Ellen runs her show on a very tight schedule, so she will have little to no time at all to mingle with the audience.
Remember, if she signs something for you, she would have to sign autographs for over 300 other audience members.
Certain Items are Not Allowed
Now granted, many of the items listed would be bizarre to carry around on the daily. Audience members are not allowed to bring sharp objects such as knitting needles, weapons, or scissors. When you go to a taping of the show, think of it as going through airport security.
If you can’t bring it on a plane, you can’t bring it to The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
There is a Dress Code
Frankly, at the taping of a TV show in which you will be seen on-camera there will be a dress code. The reason for this is to help create the aesthetic of the show. The audience coordination team wants the audience to look their best. Remember, you’ll be on TV nationwide, so dress up.
