When most think of Superman they think of an American icon. They picture a stand-up guy, a hero or even a role model. If you fall into this category of thinkers, I’m here to tell you you’re wrong, and in fact could not be farther from the truth. Superman is a bad role model. Here’s proof.

Superman Ruins Everything, Literally

We know what you’re saying: “But Superman has saved tons of people and cities!” Has he, though? Sometimes when Superman “saves” a city, he causes even more damage than his opponent.

Superman Takes No Responsibility

And Superman doesn’t clean up his own messes. He isn’t Bruce Wayne/Batman, who can just pay to fix the city. Superman is an unsuccessful writer for the Daily Planet.

The ones who get to clean up his mess are the people like you and me: the taxpayers.

Superman Doesn’t Do All He Can

“But Obsev, Superman isn’t the one destroying the city. It’s the villains. It’s them throwing Superman through buildings that’s causing all of the mess.” Well, if Superman knew how to fight, or used his powers to his full potential, the city wouldn’t be left in ruins.

Superman Tries Hard Only When He Feels Like It

In “The Adventures of Superman,” during “The Mysterious Cube,” Superman was able to take down a criminal by vibrating his molecules to pass through a cube. He did it again in Superman No. 175 when he rematched Doomsday.

So why he doesn’t use this power often is beyond understanding.
