Jason Segel Struggled With Quitting Smoking
Kissing a smoker isn’t for everyone. Especially if the other person absolutely despises the smell and taste of cigarettes. Alyson Hannigan was one of those people.
She couldn’t stand the smell of tobacco and refused to kiss Segel unless he promised her he would never smoke again. He kept his promise and even came up with a fine system where he would have to pay $10 every time he smoked a cigarette.
After a while, he was in so much debt that he went cold turkey. Good for him!

The Meaning Behind McLaren’s Pub
Many viewers are wondering where the famous McLaren’s Pub got its name from. It was actually named after the show’s associate producer, Carl McLaren. The bartender who works there is also named Carl.
This fictional bar is based on a much larger bar called McGee’s. It’s located at 240 West 55th Street, between 8th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan and Broadway, just a few blocks away from Times Square in Midtown Manhattan.
The Impossible Age Differences
Did you know that Cristin Milioti, who played Ted’s future wife, was only one year and a half older than Lyndsey Fonseca, who played his daughter? Milioti is an American actress best known for her role as the Mother on the show.
She is of Italian descent and was 28 years old when she joined “How I Met Your Mother.” Lyndsey Fonseca, who played Ted’s future daughter, was only 18 months younger than her. I know, shocker.
