Usher’s Ex Seeks Full Custody After Near Drowning Accident

After his 5-year-old son nearly drowned in a swimming pool yesterday, Usher’s ex-wife, Tameka Foster has been granted an emergency hearing to evaluate their custody arrangement.

Tameka claims that by leaving their two boys in the care of his aunt and a maid, Usher surrendered his parental responsibilities, which led to the frightening incident yesterday.

Their oldest son, five-year-old Usher Raymond V, was reaching for a toy that got caught in a swimming pool drain when his arm got stuck, causing him to nearly drown. He was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Tameka also alleges that Usher’s aunt is way too physical when disciplining their kids.

Usher was given primary custody of both boys last year in a contentious court battle after their divorce in 2009. An emergency trial has been scheduled for Friday, August 9, to reconsider that ruling.
