Hafþór Björnsson, better known as The Mountain on "Game of Thrones," actually spends more of his time as a strongman competitor than an actor, which any reasonable human being probably could've guessed just by looking at him and musing to themselves, “He's got to have at least one world record.”
Well, he's got one now, to be certain. In a feat of strength, Björnsson smashed the world record for keg tossing. Having been to college, I thought that this would be a much different competition than it actually was, but Björnsson threw a 33-pound keg over his head for 24 and a half feet. To compare, try lifting one. I'll wait. How about you just watch the video?
Yeah, you can imagine that after breaking a world record, The Mountain might be a little excited, lifting hosts and other folks as he will, and really that sort of strength just reminds you the sort of damage he could place on any character in Westeros.
We'll pause here for now while you mourn the Viper once more.
While The Mountain has technically died on the show, that whole body experiment in "Game of Thrones" leads me to believe Björnsson is going to be returning in some capacity, if only to lift people we thought were large and send them flying.
Perhaps he and Jon Snow can — why are you looking at me like that? Oh, you knew Jon Snow wasn't going to stay dead. Get over yourself.
