Okay, try not to freak out. You might want to sit down before you read the rest of this article.

Disneyland cotton candy now glows in the dark.

Awesome, right? This is pretty much the coolest thing ever!

So how does this beautiful treat work? Thankfully, the effect is not created by mixing glow in the dark paint into the sugary mixture – that’d be more than a little toxic.

Instead, some bright spark has figured out that, as cotton candy is transparent, if you shine a light through it, it’ll glow in a variety of pretty colors. As such, the special glowing cotton candy comes perched atop a glowing magic wand that lights up to make the entire delicious candy glow either pink, blue, green, or purple.

The glowing cotton candy is on sale in several Disneyland parks around the world, including Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Florida.

This isn’t an original idea produced by Disney, as some companies had already been selling glowing cotton candy, but its sale within the House of Mouse means that the experience of walking around eating glowing sugar on a stick has been given the Disney treatment at last.

Now, if only someone can figure out a way to eat the stuff that doesn’t leave your mouth or fingers sticky, cotton candy will have finally been perfected!
