Remember when you would spend hours slaving over a gingerbread house only to have the walls come crumbling down every two minutes? Luckily, the JW Marriot hotel in Los Angeles has mastered the sweet and delicious architecture, and they’re showing off their skills with a functioning, all-gingerbread bar called Santa’s Tavern.
The gingerbread bar weighs a whopping 1,300 pounds, and, yes, it is all edible.
The bar serves food and drinks, and will have three specialty cocktails available until the end of the year. There’s the Mistletoe Mimosa, made with cranberry juice and rosè; Santa’s Little Helper, which is a mule with gingerbread liqueur in a copper elf; and the More the Merrier cocktail mixed with ginger beer, pomegranate, vodka, and lemon.
The spirited gingerbread bar will also have a night of cocktail tastings and drink demonstrations on Dec. 13. The ultimate holiday gingerbread house is located on the first floor of the hotel, and will be open until Jan. 2!
