20 Things Women Need To Understand About Men
The saying that men are from Mars and women are from Venus is right when it comes to understanding the person of the opposite sex.
No matter how much women try to understand men – and vvice-versa there’s always something we seem to forget and these things continue to baffle us.
When it comes to women understanding men, here’s where it is tricky: women continue to forget that there are some things that they will never understand, from insecurities, love, appreciation and their need to feel competent, and this annoying thing at #11.
With that in mind, we’ve made a list with 20 things women will never understand about men.
20. Show Some Appreciation
Women should realize that men also like to be appreciated, even if they don’t want to admit it. According to therapist Rabbi Shlomo Slatkin, MS, LCPC, a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist, men want to know a woman appreciates him for who he is:
“When you complain about all of the things he doesn’t do right, it is hard for him to feel that you value him.”
19. They’re Nervous Too
Let’s keep in mind one thing only: we are all humans and we can all feel or want the same things. Although they might look like they’re confident about them all the time – at a meeting, a date, or a job interview, they probably pretend to be cool.
The fact they look so confident is not saying that they instinctively know what to say or how to react in a certain situation.
18. His Compliments Say Something
While some men cannot say great compliments, they try their best, probably getting inspired from friends or movies.
But if you ever notice your man complimenting you too much, it’s a hint, wrote a man nicknamed ‘Betamaletim’ on Reddit: “That as men we crave compliments.
Nothing will make us happier than to be told we look good, smell good, etc.”
17. Friends’ Opinions
Society puts too much pressure on the idea of “being a man” – #8, which affects men in their male groups. The one seen as the weak link will always be the target of teasing.
And if you’ve ever seen him different when he’s with the guys, it’s because of his self-preservation instincts kicking in.
And talking about friends…
