Mother nature can create some of the most bizarre things we humans have ever seen. For example, the Grand Canyon is still one of the most visited destinations in the United States.

This was done naturally and shocks many people at the sheer size of the Canyon. However, there are some things that Mother Nature does that some people don’t know about.

Sleeping Whales

Many people may not be aware that whales actually sleep vertically. Sometimes they will even do this in packs and it comes across as some strange alien species when viewed.

Spiked Trees

These spiked trees are also called Sandbox Trees and feature large protruding spikes out of the sides of them. The tree is very dangerous as it excretes a poison that can be lethal.

Giant Talons

This bird’s talons are just as large as bear claws and this man’s fist. This specific bird is known as a Harpy Eagle and this is the typical size their talons reach.
