The excitement of the NFL Championship games this weekend may have you wanting to see some more incredible matchups featuring seemingly evenly matched opponents. Well, here’s an alligator versus python mathcup on a golf course.
On the 10th hole of a Naples, Florida golf course, players were treated to a clash of nature’s most fearsome predators. An alligator found itself wrapped up in a Burmese python’s grip, and no one knew who would come out the victor.
From the looks of things, the alligator may have had the upper hand. The python had its head in the gator’s mouth, but the alligator was barely moving, so it was hard to tell if it had already died or if they had both were killed during the fight.
Richard Nadler told local reporters, “The python’s head was inside the mouth of the alligator and the alligator was just sitting there absolutely still with his eyes wide open.”
Local wildlife officials were squarely on “team alligator” mainly because they are at least native to the land. The Burmese python is not, and they are worried that the presence of one could damage the entire ecosystem.
One thing is for sure, I would not be standing as close to these two behemoths as these golfers were. What are they, crazy?!
