Amnesic Plumber Sees Photo Of Himself In Wealthy House
Dream Or Reality
He was shocked when he saw it, to the point of feeling dizzy. He had to sit down, and as he did, he thought: That couldn’t be me, could it?
He felt like fainting, but a memory came to mind. He initially wasn’t sure if it was a dream or if it had actually happened, but it soon all started to piece together.
In A Hospital Bed
He saw a nurse looking at him expectantly when he woke up in a hospital bed.
Then he passed out again before waking for the second time with questions filling his mind. Why was he there? Who were the people there with him? The last question battled with his identity. He didn’t remember who he was.
Talking
He was greeted by a nurse when he had finally woken up again, but he could not respond for a couple of days.
He eventually got the hang of talking again and had his first conversation with nurse Amy, who told him why he had ended up in the hospital.
Four Months
He was told that he had been found lost in a field and was admitted to one of Chicago’s most reputable hospitals. He had been in a four-month-long coma.
Doctors had assumed he would spend the rest of his life in a coma and were close to pulling him off life support. No one was there to convince them otherwise in hopes of keeping him alive long enough to wake up.
Alone
There were no visitors who came to visit him, and there was no information that linked this man to any relatives, let alone himself. They had no way of identifying the man who had woken up without his memories.
The Chicago Police Department had been looking into his identity but came short. Now referred to as a John Doe, he seemed to be alone and would have died alone, buried, and forgotten. But there was one person who changed that.
