Ancient Burial Sites Uncovered On Island

Not many people knew of this Island, although scientists had been exploring it for a while. They have started their research in 2017.

Archeologists were surprised that not much had been found after marking it as a good site with much promise. They decided to move to a different area and start excavating there; they had been stunned by their findings.

Chapelle Dom Hue is an island near Guernsey and has been the topic of conversation amongst scientists. There had presumably been medieval religious relics there, and archaeologists could not wait to see what secrets the island had to share with them.

In all the years that they have been digging up the site, they have concluded that this had probably been home to a group of monks. But there had still been so much left for them to discover.

Demanding Labor

It all began when a survey of the island revealed that there had been a place that they had not considered before. The team felt thrilled at the chance that they might’ve missed the area containing everything they had been looking for.

There had always been a Hollywood version of archeology; in comparison, the reel thing might seem boring. Sometimes archeologists do months of demanding labor with nothing to show for it. It’s challenging to stay motivated in such circumstances.

A Sign

The survey had shown promise. Focusing all of their attention on that specific spot, the archaeologists started excavating. Early on, they found something indicating they had been on the right track.

The workers had started getting excited. And as if a sign had been sent to them they finally found what looked like a burial site.

Time Is Of The Essence

It had been a stressful excavation due to problems with funding. They would have to find something significant for people to fund their project.

They have not found anything in this promising site that could prove speak more to the history of this island. Resources were running low and they had to find something conclusive, and fast.
