There was a time when Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, also known as Brangelina, were the hottest and most glamorous Hollywood couple. However, good looks and charm aren’t enough to keep a marriage together.

After a total of 12 years as a couple, the pair split up. However, it wasn’t until 2019 that Jolie broke her silence on what happened.

The start of Pitt and Jolie’s relationship was one of the most publicized and talked about relationships. It was on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith where Jolie first met Pitt who was married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston at the time.

However, when the initial rumors started, Jolie fiercely denied them.

In 2005, however, the Freinds star and Pitt got divorced. A mere three months later, however, Jolie admitted that she was pregnant with Pitt’s child. All in all, the couple would go on to have six children, three of whom were adopted.

In 2014 the pair finally got married in the French town of Correns.

Short-Lived

Unfortunately, marital bliss was short-lived and the pair announced their separation in 2016. It would be three years before ‘Brangelina’ would finally divorce after a lengthy legal battle including issues like custody arrangements.

Jolie is the daughter of legendary Hollywood actor Jon Voight and actress Marcheline Bertrand. With such parents, maybe it is no surprise that Jolie would end up being a star on the big screen herself.

However, before she was on the big screen, Jolie was known as a model. She studied acting at NYU and Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Jolie’s film debut was a minor part in 1992’s sci-fi sequel Cyborg 2.
