Ancient Egyptian Dignitary c. 3500 Years Ago

Nebiri was a man from Ancient Egypt whose mummy gave us the oldest evidence of chronic heart failure and severe gum disease. It is estimated that he died between the ages of 45 and 60 years old.

Using computed tomography, the results show the facial recreation of a man in his 50’s with sharp jaw bones, a prominent nose and slightly thick lips.

Ancient Peruvian Queen: c. 1200 Years Ago

This Peruvian Queen is so realistic, you may think you recognize her! She was discovered in 2012 in an untouched tomb among 58 Peruvian noblewomen and three other Queens.

However, she was buried in her own private chamber, surrounded by jewelry and other luxuries like gold ear flares, a copper ceremonial axe, and a silver goblet.

Today archaeologists have discovered evidence such as coins with Cleopatra’s face on them along with stone busts of the Egyptian Queen.

However, because her body has never been found, scientists have had to rely on these busts and coins as well as documents describing her “surpassing beauty” in order to reconstruct the famous Pharaoh’s face.
