20. THE ADORABLE SIX-YEAR-OLD

Sabater was only six years old when her father died. She had to switch schools, and the staff at the new school came with an amazing idea. The Big Brother, Big Sister program was perfect for her to help the young student cope with all the things.

Believe it or not, but when Myra read the young girl’s file, she realized that the perfect match was none other than herself. The little girl was shy, and Myra was the opposite. They both loved arts and crafts!
In an interview with PEOPLE, the 39-year-old Big Sister said: “During the interview I felt with connection with her because we had a lot of things in common.”
18. MANY THINGS IN COMMON

“My job was to get her a Big Sister, but I actually went to my co-worker and said that I wanted to be her Big Sister. So I kind of matched myself,” added Camino.

The love for animals and arts and crafts was what brought them together. Throughout their five-year friendship, Saleen and Camino have made origami, bracelets and even a scrapbook to help the little girl go past the trauma of losing her father.
