He Was The Biggest Star On Earth Until He Vanished, Today He Works 9-5

When we think of Hollywood stars we think glitz, glamour, parties, and living life in luxury. Everyone knows that the life of a Hollywood star is fast-paced and it can be incredibly stressful.

As hard as it might be to understand, this gets to be too much for some celebs and then they leave it all behind. Some celebs prefer to walk away from it all and try to lead what we think of as a normal life.

Some of these stars manage to blend in that many of the people around them don’t even realize they were celebrities. So who are these undercover ex-celebs and why did they choose the simpler life?

Anyone that grew up watching Growing Pains knew who Kirk Cameron was. However, as famous and recognizable the young actor once was, he simply seemed to vanish off the face of the earth. The truth, however, is that he simply changed careers.

Cameron left acting to pursue a life as a man of the cloth. Along with evangelist Ray Comfort, Cameron created The Way of the Master ministry and television program.

The multi-award-winning ex-actor still makes the occasional appearance in films such as  Saving Christmas, however.

Mara Wilson might not be the most recognizable name on this list but you will certainly recognize her as the star of Matilda, Miracle on 34th Street, and Mrs. Doubtfire.

Even though it seemed that Mara had a very promising career ahead of her, she soon left it behind to focus on other things instead.

Mara had discovered a passion for writing and philanthropy. In 2016 she published a book she wrote about her experience of being a child star called Where Am I Now?: True Stories of Girlhood and Accidental Fame.

Her current job, however, is as colorful as she is. She works for a nonprofit organization in New York called Publicolor. The company promotes the use of color in schools and the positive effects that color can have on students and staff.

Danica McKellar was still very young when she landed the role of Winnie Cooper in The Wonder Years, back in 1988. While Danica is a talented actress, she has a natural penchant for mathematics and excels in the field.

Danica not only graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a degree in mathematics, she even assisted a professor with a scientific paper while she was still an undergraduate student!

While most of us might not be fans of math and try to avoid it, McKellar has written several books such as  “Math Doesn’t Suck” and “Hot Algebra Exposed!” on the topic.

McKellar even hosts a show on the Nerdist Channel called ‘Math Bites’.

Everyone knew the name Frankie Muniz back in the 90s when he appeared on shows like Malcolm In The Middle and starred in many films such as Agent Cody Banks.

Muniz even received two Golden Globe nominations and an Emmy nomination for his role on Malcolm In The Middle. He had developed another passion, however, which he kept a secret for years.

Muniz announced that he would be taking a hiatus from acting to focus on his other great passion. Being a racecar driver. Turns out that he is a very skilled racing driver and even competed in the 2012 Atlantic Championship.

Sadly, it recently came to light that Muniz was suffering severe memory loss after a serious accident.
