It is a hot summer in Texas and you need to cool off? Go to Hays County to the popular swimming spot which has a very beautiful and natural background and an alluring place called Jacob’s Well.

Although it is very beautiful, this place is deeper than you might think.

This place is called Jacob’s Well, and it attracts many people when the Texas heat strikes. It was a near-constant 68°F and clear water.

According to the Mother Nature Network, the well is a natural karstic spring that is “fed by the Trinity Aquifer, which pushes up its water through the well and spills it into nearby Cypress Creek.”

What makes this spot very important is that this black hole is actually an entrance to a submerged cave that a few boys would discover as they plunge into the deep hole!

A specially trained cave divers team visited this spot in 2000 and the began the Jacob’s Well Exploration Project (JWEP) to provide a very detailed map of the passages underwater.

Until today, they have found that there are almost 6,000 feet of passages. Why is this spot so famous?
