6-Year-Old Boy Finds Evidence From Old Crime In Lake, Neighbor Finally Gets Closure
Unexpected Catch
Jim Rodway turned around to see what his kids were screaming in excitement about when he saw it. The fishing line was bent to almost breaking point as it heaved with the weight of its huge haul.
As he helped his son Robbie extract the mysterious catch from the water, he was not at all prepared for what they were pulling out of the water.
As it rose from the depths with a stream of brown running off it, Jim realized that this was no fish.
Fishing Trip With Dad
Six-year-old Robbie Rodway was the most excited he’d ever been in his life. His dad had promised him and his sister May that he would take them out fishing with him this weekend. But it wasn’t just ordinary fishing their dad was into.
He was a fan of magnetic fishing.
Robbie was so excited. He was a huge ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ fan and he wondered what pirate treasure he might find. Young Robbie was about to find something with far more sinister connotations than just treasure.
Waiting For A Nibble
Robbie was in his element as he fished with his dad and his sister down by the river that beautiful warm sunny afternoon. It was one of those idyllic family bonding days that a child remembers forever.
Robbie was certainly going to remember this day forever. Little did they know, the catch of the day would send them running to the police.
Reeling In A Catch
Jim hadn’t expected the kids to find anything more than old cans or the normal kind of metal junk at the bottom of a river. After he cast out the rod he sat back and read his book, letting the kids move it around in the water.
Not expecting them to find anything major, he allowed himself to relax.
Then he heard the kids yelling with excitement that they had something. He couldn’t believe it! His excitement quickly turned to fear when he realized what they were reeling in.
Heavy
Immediately Jim could tell by the pressure on the line that it was something huge that they were reeling in. He wondered what it could be. A shopping cart that had been abandoned perhaps?
Whatever it was it was extremely heavy and it took all three of them pulling their hardest to hoist it out of the water. With brown water gushing off it, they could finally see the figure of whatever or whoever it was they had pulled out. They could have never imagined the closure that their discovery would bring to one woman
