Child Hands Teacher A Note, Teacher Immediately Calls The Cops

It wasn’t long after arriving at school that an 11-year-old girl approached one of her teachers and handed her a handwritten note. The teacher read the note from the girl’s mother and four hours later the police arrested a man 11 miles away.

Her Mission

The little girl (let’s call her Jane) got to the school that day, scared but determined. She was terrified but she knew what to do. She pulled the note from her bag and approached her teacher.

She handed it to the teacher who read it and immediately called the police.

The Call

Sheriff Jeff Travis of the East Feliciana Parish stated that he received a phone call from Schools Superintendent Carlos Sam. Sam immediately informed them of the contents of the girl’s note.

It stated that she was being held against her will in her own home.

The Contents

According to the police, the note suggested that the girl and her mother had been kept in their mobile home “for at least a couple of weeks.” Travis told the media: “It’s very alarming when a student shows up with a note asking for help.”

Stuck

The police decided not to reveal the contents of the note, however, made it clear that they needed help. “She couldn’t leave,” Travis explained.

“She needed someone to get her out of the situation and she couldn’t talk on the phone.”
