Bus Driver Secretly Slips Note Into Backpack But Never Expected Mother To Reply

The wipers took the rain off of the windshield. Jenny didn’t like mornings. But she did feel happy seeing the little children’s smiles on her bus as she slowly took them to where they needed to go.

She saw them waiting outside and slowed down to a halt for them. She had no idea how bright they could make these dark mornings.

Tough Beginnings

Cindy was a young girl like many of the children on the bus – but her childhood was quite hard. By 12 she had been in 8 foster homes in only one year.

She naturally became a rebel in her teens so they tried to approach things in a different light. They wanted to send her to someone she wouldn’t expect.

She arrived at an old wooden bungalow. She immediately felt that this place was special. She couldn’t quite tell what it was but was encouraged by the social worker to knock on the door.

“You better be on your best behavior, madame.” Cindy looked over at the social worker. If she wanted to be difficult she already would have. But when the door opened she couldn’t believe who was standing on the other side.

Familiar Face

It was an elderly woman. Time had greyed her hair and carved deep wrinkles in her face. A smile spread from her thin lips as she peered at Cindy with piercing blue eyes.

Cindy was frozen in play. The woman said, “Hello, Cindy.” She immediately remembered the voice. “You’ve no idea how much I’ve missed you.”

“Cindy, love, are you alright?” Cindy opened her eyes to see the old woman standing above her, was this really happening? “Grandma?” She rose up with trembling hands and hugged her tightly.

She thought that she would never see her again. It had been so long but they were together again. But Anna would see the effects of the separation on poor Cindy.
