12 Years After Girl Vanishes, Dad Gets A Call From Mexico
It was an ordinary spring evening for Austin, TX resident Greg Allen. That night, his four-year-old daughter Sabrina was off to see her mom, a routine visit. He waved goodbye to her lovingly and told her that he’d see her later.
However, Sabrina did not come back home. A case was opened and slowly, the strange details began to emerge.
Last Goodbye
Greg never expected that that evening would be the last time he would see his little one. When he found out that his ex-wife had fled to Mexico with their only child, he embarked on a painful 12-year journey to get her back.
However, when she finally came back to the United States many years later, there was something very different about his little princess. It wasn’t the reunion he had been waiting and hoping for.
The Beginning
Greg met Dara Llorens through a dating service and, needless to say, the two hit it off well and decided to get married shortly after. On May 30, 1997, Sabrina Allen was born.
Greg was a scientist employed with Austin’s university, involved in engineering research. He had always wanted to have kids of his own, so when he and Dara were blessed with a little princess, he was over the moon… never expecting the heartache that would follow.
Custody
It was all sweet and romantic at first, but when Sabrina turned three years old, the couple’s relationship started to turn sour. A messy divorce followed and then the court ruled in favor of Greg having sole custody of the child.
Greg, having a stable job, was in a better position to provide for Sabrina and give her a good home. However, this did not sit well with Dara.
At this time, the Child Protection Services also started to ask questions about the little girl’s life at home.
Truth Or Lie?
A huge shock came when Sabrina told the authorities that Greg was violent towards Dara. However, according to him, his child also admitted at the same time that what she told them had been untrue.
In an interview with the Daily Mail in 2014, Greg claimed that Sabrina had said: “My daddy hits my mommy, that’s a lie my mommy told me to say.”
