These Embarrassing Movie Costume Mistakes Made The Final Cut
The first thing you think about when you think about films and movies you probably think about the acting, the sets, and the costumes. Who doesn’t remember Neo’s outfit from the Matrix or other iconic outfits?
The fact is that these outfits help actors get into character and they set the scene or period for a film. But, like with anything else, things can go wrong.
Read on to learn more about some of the biggest wardrobe blunders in film history, most of them you probably missed.
Troy: Umbrellas Casting Shade On Accuracy

Troy was one of the biggest box office successes of 2004 and it was well-received by the public even though critics didn’t react as well.
Since it was based on Homer’s Iliad, it was understandable that the scale of the movie had to be grand and over the top while still remaining historically accurate.
The grand spectacle and accuracy, however, was slightly broken by one single scene. When Orlando Bloom’s Paris rides through the city under a shade of a pink umbrella many people were outraged.
The reason the scene caused outrage is that not only does it seem a bit unlikely for a warrior to use something so frilly, umbrellas had also not been invented yet.
Pulp Fiction: Glimpse Of The Future

1994’s Pulp Fiction is a cult classic that is known for its oneliners, and non-stop action. Quentin Tarantino is well known for his filmmaking skill and style. He surely wouldn’t let any mistakes into his movies right?
A famous continuity error that slipped through the cracks but that the audience noticed very easily was in the famous scene where Jules (Samuel L. Jackson) recites Ezekiel 25:17 during a gunfight.
Sharp-eyed observers noticed that the wall behind the two hitmen is full of bullet holes before the gunfight even starts.
Back to the Future: Instrument Of The Future

A line that one often hears people say is “Great movie, but–that did not exist back then!” A movie that sadly needs this line applied to it as well, is the 1985 classic Back To The Future. Not only could no one else have played “Johnny B.
Goode” the way that Michael J Fox’s character, Marty McFly, did. Technically, even Marty McFly couldn’t play it.
The reason is that the Gibson ES-345 that he plays would only be created in 1958, three years after the scene which takes place during 1955.
Pretty Woman: Getting A-Breast

Julia Roberts is well known for her refusal to film nude scenes. That is what causes a scene in Pretty Woman to be so surprising and controversial.
There is a famous scene in which Julia Roberts wears a thin gown which does little to hide what’s beneath it. However, moments before the scene in question, her breasts are clearly shown.
Knowing Roberts’ feelings on nude scenes it is likely that this oversight was not a part of the script.
