Dad Hears Noise Behind Broken Cabinet Then Finds Safe Inside

It had been a week since he started working on the kitchen and everything was going great. The entire process was running smoothly, and by the upcoming week, they would have a brand new kitchen for themselves.

He was dragging the cabinet out into the open to fix it when he noticed a peculiar handle on the wall behind it. His mind was screaming at him not to get any closer, but his curiosity got the better of him and he couldn’t help but pull the handle.

But what he and his wife found made them take a step back.

Just one month after getting married, Jack and Melissa moved into their new home. They were determined to spend the rest of their lives together, they put everything into finding a beautiful, two-bedroom, fixer-upper home in Houston, Texas.

For their first year of marriage, they put everything into turning the house into their dream home. It was all going according to plan, that is until they got to fixing the kitchen.

Necessary Fixes

Their new home was more than half a century old. But despite its old age, it was one of the prettiest in their neighborhood. They were impressed by the remarkable job the previous owners had done with the place. It was in good shape.

Jack and Melissa made a few necessary fixes to the place. They wanted to make the house baby-friendly because they were expecting their firstborn. Little did they know how much these renovations would impact their lives.

Do It Himself

For the better part of his younger years, Jack worked as a handyman. He did most of the renovations on his own, which Melissa thought was extremely cute.

After a year of actively working on the house, it was as beautiful as Jack and Melissa had envisioned when they first saw it. They knew that if the kitchen’s renovation were as good as the other rooms, they would have the home of their dreams.

The Cabinet

Jack grabbed ahold of his mallet and began caving in the parts of the kitchen they didn’t need. He worked hard as he redid the tiles, the cupboards, counters, and the island.

But there was a broken antique mahogany cabinet standing firmly against the kitchen wall. It was one of the items that made Jack and Melissa fall in love with the place. Jack would never be able to destroy it, they adored it.

Jack wiped at his sweaty forehead before dragging it away from the wall to figure out how he could fix it. But then he discovered what was hiding behind it.
