Dancer Ignores Warning And Gets Too Close To Cheetah

The woman was cautioned by the crew not to approach the dangerous animal, but she ignored their warnings. Her sense of adventure triumphed above all advice. Everyone assumed she was a young, wild woman who had no idea what she was doing.

She closed in on the cheetah under everyone’s watchful gaze. Following the cheetah’s reaction, the crew felt it was their duty to act.

A Kind-Hearted Woman

Volunteer Heather Chuki, 23, from Beckonham worked with non-profit organizations that handle big cats in South Africa. She has always been passionate about ballet and helping others since she was a child.

She had a reputation for being generous in her community. When she got older, she wanted to volunteer in places that needed her help, so she ended up working at a wildlife refuge in South Africa.

Her fresh start was great, but nothing could have prepared her for what she encountered at the sanctuary.

They Needed The Help

Cheetah Experience is an animal sanctuary that specializes in cheetahs in South Africa. Cheetahs that are injured or have habitat problems typically end up in their care.

There was a lot of need for help, and Heather’s presence was greatly appreciated. Those in charge of the sanctuary did not recognize the significance of the event at the time.

Compromise

Heather has been volunteering in South Africa since she was 18-years-old. After volunteering around for a couple of years, Heather found the Cheetah Experience animal refuge, and it became her second home.

She could no longer find the time to continue her ballet, but she missed it dearly. However, it was much more important for her to work with the animals who needed help. It was an easy and necessary compromise. Could she, however, stay away from one of her life’s greatest passions?

Dew And Eden

The sanctuary housed two cheetahs that Heather had a fondness for. In the presence of humans, they were always hiding in their cages. The cheetahs called Dew and Eden were introduced to the sanctuary.

Heather had no intention of throwing in the towel, and she was determined to make the animals feel safe. Would she be able to do it? Or would she simply endanger herself?
