Prisoner Requests An Apple For His Last Meal And Moments Later He’s Set Free

“A 32-year-old inmate collapses a few days before his execution,” according to the Monday morning news report. The story states that the inmate had just finished eating an apple when he collapsed and some rumors claimed he was dead.

Joe, the claimed dead man, was proven guilty of a crime and had been awaiting his death sentence for years. But his relatives still insisted that he was the target of a set-up and that whoever was responsible was living freely.

At least, this was the story when Joe requested an apple for his last meal…

A Big Box Of Mistakes

Sometimes we fall victim to another man’s error. Joe wasn’t prepared for what was coming for him. An easygoing man who owns a well-known antique store for keeping valuables and other historical artifacts was about to meet his worst nightmare.

One morning, he answered the doorbell, but nobody was there. He noticed a large package on the doorstep. Joe curiously took the box to know what was inside; who would have dropped it without saying anything? He reasoned that it might be one of the newly ordered goods that arrived early.

But he would get confirmation from his clients before opening it, as he was also running late for work.

He Became A Prime Suspect

On his way to work, he got stopped by the police, and the next minute he found himself handcuffed. It happened so fast; asking why being arrested.

He kept yelling and struggling with them in defense; the sirens of their cars were wailing, and a few other police cars were coming behind them as they drove to the station. He was detained at the time, clueless about what happened.

Joe spent hours In detention pondering his offense until he was allowed to speak to his lawyer. However, what he heard from his lawyer got him shaking and could land him in jail.

The Accusations Against Him

They discovered stolen, priceless items that belonged to a well-known merchant in his home, where the owner was robbed and killed. All traces led to him, as the products were found inside a box at his house.

Joe proved his innocence to his lawyer by explaining the parcel he received on the way to work, which he didn’t open. There was no way he’d get away with murder without a strong defense, and all tracks led to him being a prime suspect.

His lawyer assured him that he’d get to the bottom of all this.

The First Trial—Proven Guilty

Families of the deceased pressed charges against him, and he was to face a trial.

However, there is clearly no evidence to prove his innocence, and the people he’s up against are powerful enough to bring him down. It became a newsflash as he was found guilty of a crime he clearly knew nothing about.

In all of this, Joe and his lawyer came up with different plans for his release that seemed impossible to achieve. Either he fights for his freedom legally or illegally; it’ll cost them a lot, but he was willing to take the risk after all.
