Detective Notices Dog In Police Station Every Day, Decides To Follow Him
As Cameron chased the dog through arid passageways, the sun had barely begun to drop. Where was he being led by it? Before it came to rest in front of a residence, he pursued it for what felt like three blocks.
Immediately, the front door was opened when the dog barked. In spite of this, detective Cameron was unprepared for the situation he had brought upon himself.
A Sunny Day
Tucson was feeling the sting of the Arizona heat. The police station, fortunately, had air conditioning. Every officer who received summer office duty was appreciative. Even while squad cars featured an air con, it was irrelevant when they had to leave the comfort of their police vehicles.
Detective Cameron Davis was one person who was extremely pleased to be at his office on that specific day. Cross-referencing evidence from numerous crimes was what he was doing, attempting to identify any shared characteristics. He wasn’t ready for an unanticipated guest that day, though.
His Responsibilities
For eight years, Cameron had been employed with the Tuscon Police Department. He began as a novice police officer and worked his way up over time. After five years of hard effort, he was able to advance to the position of a police sergeant.
He was trained to handle K9s and patrolled the streets. While tending to them and making sure they were fit for the job at hand, he developed a love for German Shepherds. But he didn’t realize how useful that talent would be after working at a desk.
Promotion
Cameron ultimately attained the rank of detective after serving with authorities for eight years. He voluntarily exchanged his greater action-packed sergeant life for a more analytical one at the station.
He spent a lot more time at his desk as a detective, which he appreciated, especially when the summer in Tucson rolled around. He was subsequently informed that an unusual visitor had entered the building through the doors.
Escaping The Heat
On a warm summer day, a dog wandered into the station and rested on the floor of the department. If Cameron pretended he wasn’t shocked, he would be dishonest, but then he considered the same reason he was inside.
Was it to avoid the sweltering heat in Arizona? A dog with a thick coat would undoubtedly choose air conditioning over being outside. But it wasn’t a complete explanation.
