Dog Keeps Growing Until Mailman Notices Why
He felt his face turn red. He was stunned that people could do such a thing. He wanted to report them to the authorities, but if he did that, the poor dog would be out in a shelter. He needed to find a way around this.
He carefully inspected the area to ensure that nobody was watching him and then called the dog. He formed a connection with the pup over the last few weeks, so the dog eagerly ran over. But what he did next will forever alter the dog’s life.
Mailman
Jeffrey Edwards lived in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was an ordinary mailman who worked for a postal delivery service.
The small things in life brought him so much joy. He loved his job and meeting the people to who he delivered mail. He always went the extra mile and got to know their names. He knew the McIntyre’s on 10th Street and the Gonzales on Surrey Drive.
He knew many people, but there was one family that he adored.
His Favorite Family
Jeffrey loved delivering mail to the Denson family. Funnily enough, the only reason he loved it so much was because of their dog. It was quite ironic that he was a mailman who had a connection with a dog.
Every morning as he was making his round, he would see the small Dachshund sit on their front lawn. He’d eagerly wiggle his tail and deliver the mail to his owner’s doorstep.
Change Of Pace
As time progressed, Jeffrey and the dog grew a strong connection. At one point, he even bought treats for the pup and would give him one every time he saw him. He, later on, learned that the dog was named Buttons.
Buttons was a friendly pup. The McIntyre’s had a grumpy rottweiler that would often bark whenever he was near, so it was nice seeing a dog be friendly to him. However, he noticed that something was amiss.
Trying Something New
Jeffrey saw that the small dog was no longer so small. The Dachshund quickly increased in size! Something wasn’t quite right. He didn’t know what it may have been, though.
Was it his fault because he had been giving him treats? He then decided not to provide him with treats. However, a month had passed, and the situation did not seem to be improving.
