Dog Won’t Leave Burning Building — Then The Firefighters Hear Knocking Below Them

The team of firefighters were trained to get everyone out of dangerous situations, including animals. So they were stunned when the dog chained up near a fire didn’t want to go with them! The dog refused to leave and seemed to want to protect whatever was below him.

He Wouldn’t Stop Barking

As soon as they untied the dog, the team of firefighters expected the animal to run away from the danger surrounding him. But that wasn’t the case. The dog sat exactly where it had been and started barking loudly.

It seemed like the dog was wiling to give up its life to protect whatever it was hiding. 

A Secret Below

The rescuers had no choice but to open the hatch beneath the dog, and when they did they could hardly believe their eyes. They would have never known what was hidden below them if the dog hadn’t signaled towards it.

But they had to act quickly to tend to what was beneath them and the fire around them.

Man’s Best Friend

After seeing what was inside the hatch, they started to trust the dog’s instincts. They initially assumed that the dog was barking because it wanted to scare off the firemen, but there seemed to be a bigger reason for its behavior.

That dog was their first sign that something was seriously wrong here.

But what was the dog protecting? And why did it make a knocking sound as soon as the firefighters arrived?

Putting Out The Fire

The fire started at a mall on the outskirts of town and spread to another building soon after. The team of firefighters appeared on the scene as soon as possible with a plan to contain the fire and rescue anyone still inside. They split up into a rescue team and a fire containment team.

The rescue team noticed the dog tied up outside the building almost instantly.
