These Unexpected Photos Were Taken By Drones At Just The Right Moment
Drone technology has advanced in leaps and bounds in recent years. Cameras mounted on drones have become more and more powerful. The images below are taken by some of these drones. The sale of drones has skyrocketed over the past few years.
This is due to the dramatic drop in price for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s) which had before only been used by the military. Now, more and more people are using drones as hobbyist items.
The cameras allow them to capture photos from previously impossible angles. Drones are also being used by everything from the police, retailers, hospitals, broadcasters, and more.
Drones have also been known to capture some very unexpected photos when least expected.
The Giant Pink Rabbit Called Hase

When you think of Italy, you might think of wine, pizza, pasta, and opera. The last thing you expect to find in the hills of Italy is a gigantic pink rabbit. This photo was taken in 2005 by a drone in the Piedmont region of northern Italy.
The name of the rabbit is Hase. It is 200 feet long and has a height of 20 feet. When it was originally constructed. The artists thought that the rabbit would last until the year 2025, but it had entirely decomposed by 2016.
You might wonder why someone might do something like this. If you ask the artist why, however, the answer is simple: Art.
D-d-d-danger, Watch Behind You!

Drones can also capture things we never realized at the time. One drone caught footage that these sailors had no idea about. The video where this photo comes from shows a huge whale that followed the boat for a full 15 minutes.
Luckily, the whale was merely curious and no one was in any actual danger.
Air Bear

Photographer, Florian Ledoux, won the highest accolade at the 2017 Skypixel awards for this photograph. It shows a polar bear as it struggles to cross the ice cap of the Arctic.
This image also clearly shows the severe impact that global warming is having on our planet. Florian hopes that his photo will help to raise awareness so that some solutions can be found so that many people may enjoy such natural wonders in the future.
The Giant Hole In Guatemala

This photo that was captured by a drone shows a huge sinkhole that opened in Guatemala City. The hole appeared in 2010 after tropical storm Agatha hit the area. The hole swallowed a three-story factory.
According to experts, many different factors, not all of them natural, played a part in creating this massive chasm, including the eruption of the Pacaya volcano. The whole was about 300 feet deep and 65 feet wide.
According to experts, giant holes like this are becoming more and more common in Guatemala City. This is partly due to the city’s lack of strict rules when it comes to building codes and zoning.
