Flight Attendants Share the Craziest Things That Have Happened Mid-Air

A flight attendant’s job might seem glamorous, after all, they do get paid to fly around the world. But it’s not an easy job.

While they’re in the air, they have to cater to the different personalities traveling across the world, and for hours at a time.

Although it can seem like smooth sailing, that isn’t always the case, as the flight attendants in our stories will tell you.

They Almost Got Away with It

When my mother was a flight attendant, she saw quite a bit. The one that stands out the most was when a pair of granddaughters wheeled their sleeping grandma onto the plane. Immediately, my mom knew something was wrong.

They refused to leave their grandmother, nor would the grandmother wake up. The crew got to find out that the woman was dead and they were trying to save money by transporting her as a passenger, instead of in the back of the plane.

This was an international flight, so they were interrogated once they got to their destination. They would have gotten away with it if it wasn’t for those meddling flight attendants.

In-Air Foot Love

I was working a flight where there were two older ladies who would look very uncomfortable each time I passed by. So I decided to investigate.

I saw that the man in front of them had crawled under his seat and was kissing, caressing and tickling their feet during the entire flight. Since they were “proper” ladies, they were too embarrassed to report him.

Cow Patty-Sized

I was cleaning the plane after a long flight when I realized that a woman had taken the security booklet and dropped it on the seat. When I picked it up, I noticed that underneath had a cow patty sized poop.

  I’m not sure how she managed to go number two without anyone seeing, hearing or smelling it. 

Too Much Silence

I once had a passenger who talked so much that everyone next to her started to complain. And she refused to stop, even after several warnings. When she finally shut up, we realized that it was only because she was choking on a piece of bread.

It turns out she was talking so much, she didn’t want to stop to chew the food.
