A Strange Coin

She treasured the coin as a memento of her departed mother. It brought back many memories of the most joyful moment of her life, when she was only a young child playing with her in the yard of their home, in that small English town.

But it also had immeasurable value for others. And in the end, these individuals would call the police, arrest her, and put her on trial.

Long Time Later

For years, Kate had forgotten about the coin. Since it occurred when she was just five years old, she had long since forgotten about it.

She liked to playfully roam the garden with her mother as they looked for buried riches. Usually, they would take some odd-looking stone and claim it was really rare and priceless. But they had eventually discovered something genuine.

Something Special

This old coin that they discovered appeared to be unlike any other currency they had ever seen. It appeared to be really ancient and was extraordinarily thick. like, from ages past.

It was kept in a drawer by Kate’s mother. They periodically displayed it for admiration during the course of the next week, but they quickly stopped doing so. The coin remained in that drawer for many years.

Moving

Kate was contemplating what she would like to take with her as she was getting ready to leave the family home one day. Since the coin was discovered, many things have changed.
