Girl Follows Cat Into Barn
Laura peeked into the dark shed as her heart began to race. She couldn’t even see her cat anymore as the darkness swallowed him whole. She called for him, but he didn’t come. Laura knew she was taking a risk.
Her mom would freak out if she saw that she was down there. She wasn’t allowed in the shed.
She unlocked her phone and flashed it around inside the shed. She had to act fast before her mom could find out. Adrenaline was pumping through her veins and she began to panic when she saw the box. What could be inside of it?
She felt like a little kid, scared of the monsters in her closet. She approached the box as the uneasy feeling in her stomach got worse.
She Loved Life
Laura Robinson loved her life. She had amazing friends, an incredibly supportive family and she lived in a lovely home. She was about to start university and she couldn’t wait for the future.
It was safe to say that Laura loved life. She couldn’t wait for what was to come and she wasn’t going to let anything stand in her way. But she had no idea that something horrible was coming her way.
They Were Whispering
It was a typical Monday morning. Laura got up and out of bed and went downstairs to have some breakfast. But as she was about to enter the kitchen, she paused in her steps. She could hear her mom, Ronnie, and her dad, Adam, whispering to one another.
She moved slowly as she peered around the corner and tried to listen in on their conversation. They seemed flustered as they spoke silently. She frowned. Were they hiding something? Was something wrong?
Little did Laura know that her life was about to change forever.
She Had To Know
Laura felt her stomach drop when her mother said, “We can’t tell her. She’ll be devasted.” She began to panic. What were they talking about? Why would she be devastated?
Laura didn’t like being left in the dark. She wanted to know what they were on about but she knew that they would never tell her. She had to find out for herself. But what she would find would make her doubt everything she ever knew.
She Knew It
The thing was, for all her life, Laura had felt like her mom and dad were hiding something from her.
After hearing their conversation, she knew that her suspicions were right. They had been hiding something from her, and she didn’t like that. What could it be, though? And why were they hiding it from her?
