Missing Girl Finally Found 12 Days Later In Siberia — Alive
Living in Siberia is not for the faint of heart. Apart from the dangerous wild animals, there are also things like bogs and wetlands which could do you in. Furthermore, you have to cope with sub-zero temperatures, as low as -70 degrees Fahrenheit.
Of course, the fact that there is almost no one around also adds to your troubles.
Playground
This is not the kind of area that you would recommend a 4-year-old girl and her dog should be playing. However, that didn’t prevent 4-year-old Karina Chikitova and her dog, Naida, following her father into these wilds.
There she would face all manner of challenges.
Karina
Karina Chikitova lived in a very remote Siberian village in the far east region of Siberia. This area is known as The Sakha Republic. Karina lived in a tiny home with her father, mother, grandmother, and the family dog, Naida.
Childlike
As is normal for a child of her age, Karina had a healthy level of curiosity. This led her to naturally explore the world around her in an attempt to understand the world.
This is why in July 2014, she innocently followed her father, Rodion, into a part of the Siberian wilderness also known as the taiga.
Taiga
One of the numerous reasons why this is such a bad idea is that the area is well known for its wildlife. The area is home to bears, tigers, and wolves. These animals are wild and savage and they aren’t scared of attacking people.
