Gorilla Turns Tables On Girl Who Kept Him As A Pet

The Safari guide tried his best to warn Ivanka as they made their way through the thickets and deeper inside the bush. The guide just hoped she would keep her word and not try to get too close.

Ivanka went on, seemingly oblivious to how ignorant she sounded to the guide. She claimed to know the gorillas well and was convinced that everything would go smoothly. She was wrong.

The Good Life

To say that Ivanka Petrov was a spoiled child would be an understatement. The daughter of a petroleum magnate, Ivanka’s family had been one of the few to benefit greatly from the fall of the USSR.

From the moment she was born, Ivanka was surrounded by wealth and opulence. By the time she was a little girl, she still had never been properly acquainted with the word “no”.

A Lavish Environment

In some ways, Ivanka could have been forgiven for not being a normal child. Growing up around a father that had a penchant for hosting outlandish events and always going overboard left her with a false sense of reality.

Ivanka’s dad was known for buying her unusual and even strange gifts. Of all his extreme, lavish tastes, one specialty, in particular, made Ivanka’s father more eccentric than most.

He Loved Exotic Things

Mr. Petrov’s insatiable taste for exotic pets wouldn’t even stop after he animals as dangerous and unique as an anaconda and a tapir.

Ivanka’s dad soon took his beloved habit to even more extremes. Purchasing a baby gorilla, the old man gave it to Ivanka as a gift. She was only 5-years-old at the time.

Unusual Childhood

Since the gorilla, who was named Koko, was just a baby herself, she was basically raised with Ivanka. This domesticated start in life made Koko gentle and submissive to humans.

However, as time passed, Koko began to steadily grow and change. Each new phase of her life brought with it distinct behaviors and instincts that came with them. Some were unfortunately aggressive.
