Challenges 

She and her husband had been looking forward to this special moment. Her fourteen-hour labor was finally over, and she was relieved.

In a state of exhaustion and concern that her son may not survive, she couldn’t even think straight.

As she was leaving the delivery room, she had no idea that she was going to face the hardest trials of her life.

Hoping For  The Best 

It was supposed to be the victory Erica needed that year. She and her husband, Marcus, deserved something better after the countless obstacles they had to overcome.

Nevertheless, her mother-in-law had long been harassing her, making ridiculous demands and treating her poorly.

Erica was certain her newborn child would transform her when he catalyzed even more trouble. 

Not An Easy Life 

Having been through enough, Erica Bing was over it. Her daughter was six months old when she was divorced at twenty-five, and she had to move to a new state for support.

In the past two years, she had never believed in curses, but after all of these things happened to her, she became convinced.

Eventually, life would let up, she hoped. 

A Fresh Start  

As she moved from bustling Brooklyn, New York City, to Midway, Utah, it was a complete change of pace for her. Streets were quieter, roads were empty, and the air was cleaner.

Her racing heart and mind were calmed by the pristine alpine town, which promised a greater future than New York had ever offered.

She and her daughter finally had a place where they could start over. 

Looking for A Job 

In order to get a job, she sought an affordable apartment first. She would be best suited to finding a job in any business establishment since she had a management degree.

There was nothing more important to her than making ends meet. There was still a sting in her wounds after her nasty divorce. However, she could not watch as her little angel starved to death.

The fates had their sights on her from the beginning.
