Guy Stumped When Dog Refuses To Move Then He Decides To Follow

He was driving his usual route to get to work when he noticed something – a puppy by the side of the road. Strays weren’t uncommon on the road, and if it wasn’t a stray, their owner could be close by.

But as he got closer to the pup he couldn’t see anyone close by. It was clear that it was lost. But the second he considered taking it in, he changed his life forever.

Tom decided that he had to do something. He decided to park his car by the roadside. The poor thing was in the middle of the Cumberland Mountains and the nearest town was miles away. He had to get it back to its owner.

Tom considered himself an animal lover. He didn’t want the poor thing to starve out here or worse, hit by a car. He had to save it. But he had no idea just how fated he was to find the sweet puppy alone and afraid.

A Normal Day

Tom’s profession was plumbing, and he thought that he was pretty good at it. He lived in Berea, Kentucky with his two children. Then he got a call from a friend who desperately needed his help. It also meant work for Tom.

He knew about his friend’s project for a while now, he planned on building a cabin in the woods but would need half decent plumbing installed. So he decided to call the only man he trusted – Tom.

But Tom had no idea how his life was about to change.

The Expert

Tom considered himself one of the best plumbers in his town. He was not only passionate but was also reliable. Everyone in the town knew he was the guy to call when it came to a leaky pipe or broken faucet.

After his friend asked for his help with his cabin, Tom smiled and said he’d do it with pleasure. He drafted what he would do and then got the address for the cabin. He would take a route he knew well to get to the cabin the next morning.

A Pleasant Morning

Early the next morning, Tom prepared his tools and got into his truck. With a cup of coffee in his belly from a few minutes before warming his bones, he felt ready for the adventure.

Tom was now ready to hit the road. Even though the air was heavy as stormy clouds gathered overhead, he actually liked the weather. But the day would only get darker.
