 He had always tried to see the silver linings and had wanted to pay respects to his mother by giving her the same courtesy. He detested what happened to her and knew that the proud lady that she was, she would have been disgusted.

A Tragedy

He had a deep affection for his mother. It had been hard for Jim Stauffer to see her age and become frail. He had gotten her the best medical care that he could afford.

She had been a mother, grandma, and great-grandmother. But life had been rough for Doris. The events that followed had been a tragedy.

When The Mind Slips

Growing old is not easy. The body get’s frail and due to that a lot of energy is spent on completing basic tasks. Once the mind starts to go, it can be very taxing to the person.

Hospice Care

Jim had to come to the harsh terms that his mother his mother’s wellness had been declining. And with the support of his family he was able to move her into a hospice, where she could get the attention that she needed.

His mother’s alzheimer’s got worse as soon as she had starting living there, but this had not been unexpected. It had only been a few months until her passing at the age of 74.

Honoring Her

Her death left a hole in the heart of her family. The family had made the arrangements for the funeral and began preparing for what came afterwards.
