It was all very confusing for the poor man. A woman had asked him to carry her groceries just a few days earlier. He seemed to be in deep trouble now. There was a wrong person he had crossed.

It never occurred to him that his seemingly good deed would have such repercussions.

It was not the first time he had been mistreated, but he hadn’t experienced anything like this.

Accusations

Earlier that day, he had been to that same grocery store but was being dragged back for two blocks by the security guard. According to him, he had apparently committed a crime.

When he got to the store, he saw the old woman from yesterday. It was only a matter of time before the accusations flew. This time, what did he do wrong?

Everyone was shocked when she told him what she had to say.

The Homeless Man

There was much more to the dirty and homeless man who was brought in front of the grocery store than met the eye. He was judged harshly by everyone he normally crossed paths with, and that was just the beginning.

Looking at the old woman, he noticed the store manager beside her.

After he helped her the previous day, she must have filed a complaint.

Did Not Want Money

As far as he was concerned, he had only been helping out an older woman who needed it. There was no request for money from him. Something about the old woman made him want to help her without expecting anything in return.

There was more to it than that, however. There was a depth to it that he could never have imagined.

He was called back to the place where it all began by the woman.
