Lumberjack Cuts Open Lump On Tree Despite Warning
A loud industrial sound cut through the huge forest.
They knew what their orders were – cut through the trees and let him fall to the ground in a single piece. But one guy on the job would be cutting through every layer looking for something with intent. What was he searching for?
An Okay Job
Tony Markins knew that his job wasn’t the best in the world. But it was all he could ask for – he was happy with his life.
He had a lot of good coworkers that made up a kind of family. He was paid well for his service and sometimes they’d find something cool while on the job.
Risk-Taker
Tony loved the outdoors, he loved his job because he didn’t like the thought of staying in a small office cubicle all day.
He loved being out in the fresh air of the forest. All of his senses were always overloaded with smells, sounds, and sights. But there was still danger on the job, that was the trade-off.
A Day Like Any Other
It was a day like any other – a cool, breezy Wednesday morning and they were already well into their work for the day.
He could smell the pine needles and the gas they used for their chainsaws. The machinery made a sound like a sort of colony of bees through the forest. But he had no idea that something very strange was right around the next tree.
Weird Bumps
He kept up his chainsaw work while sawdust spattered on his sweaty forehead. He knew he needed a quick break and some water before he could continue.
While on his break he noticed something quite peculiar. It was a tree that looked like no other. It had dark bark and was very tall. Tony felt like Jack in “Jack and the Beanstalk”.
