They Called The Cops When He Dug Up The Yard, Regret It When They See Inside
Everyone knows that no one would be safe if there should ever be a nuclear war. However, if you have prepared for it well enough, then there may be a chance of survival.
This has lead to a huge network of people, known as “preppers”, who have gone out of their way to prepare for the worst.
One such prepper is Bruce Beach. A resident of Horning’s Mills, Canada, this man has gained some notoriety for the elaborate and unusual shelter that he has created.
In fact, his shelter has become somewhat of a local attraction due to its unusual nature. While some people might label him a “kook”, Bruce sleeps soundly knowing that he is prepared for the absolute worst!
Scary News

We all know how terrifying the world news can be, especially in recent years. It is also not unusual for countries, such as Russia and North Korea, to threaten the United States with the prospect of nuclear war.
This has led Bruce Beach to come up with an ingenious solution should such a catastrophe become a reality.
Creating A Prepper

Bruce had been a long-time resident of Chicago before moving to Horning’s Mills in rural Canada during the 1970s. The Cold War was heating up again at this point and nuclear devastation seemed imminent.
As a result, Bruce started to think about surviving a nuclear conflict and he decided that Horning’s Mills would be the perfect spot to do just that.
A Strange Start

Between 1980 and 1985, 42 out of service school buses were shipped to the remote piece of land in Canada that belonged to Bruce. No one was quite sure why he had these buses shipped there but when they discovered the reason, everyone was mind blown!
Underground Parking

Bruce excavated a huge pit in the ground and carefully maneuvered all 42 busses into the giant hole. Once they were in place, he reinforced the entire structure with concrete.
As a result of all his hard work the shelter, named Ark Two, is officially the largest functioning nuclear fallout shelter in all of North America.
