From the moment he met her, he knew she was his perfect girl and after dating her for six months, he thought everything was perfect. It was like he did not know what happiness meant until he met her.

But as soon as he walked through the front door, he immediately knew that something was very very wrong. Fear washed over him as he rushed to his bedroom. He opened the bedroom door and his heart dropped to his stomach. He was taken aback by what he found.

Goal-Driven

Cayde was a regular guy from Houston, Texas. He was virtually out of university and navigating adult life like many other twenty-two-year-olds.

Cayde’s ambition was to have a secure career, a comfortable home, a vehicle, and a lovely connection with his dream woman. He’d already nailed most of his list.  Before he met Barbra, the last one proved to be complicated.

Everything He Wanted

Barbra was everything Cayde had ever dreamed of. She was witty, innovative, and tenacious. She also had the appearance of a greek goddess.

Cayde realized Barbra was his soulmate when they met at the theater. After several outings and a lot of talking, the two decided to move in together. Cayde’s fantasy had come true, but it was about to turn into a disaster.

Where It All Began

Some weeks after Cayde and Barbra moved in together, there was trouble. In addition to working all day, Cayde was studying most nights. He could clearly see in her eyes that she was hurting and was lonely, despite her assurance to the contrary.

Cayde did everything he could to compensate for his unavailability. He even rescheduled several of his lectures so that he could be more present on certain nights. Barbra needed more though.

Problems In Paradise

Cayde began to realize subtleties about Barbra that indicated danger was looming over their relationship bliss. When he returned home in the morning, she wouldn’t welcome him as she normally would. Things she used to enjoy doing with him would irritate her.

He didn’t want to admit she was losing interest in him, but that moment proved him wrong.
