Patrick Robinson has been a long-time resident of this area. The familiar surroundings appeared odd as he held up his placard. He felt vulnerable, having experienced firsthand what it was like to be homeless.

As the next vehicle neared, he forced these ideas out of his head. When the driver ignored him, he realized it was time to strike.

Different Times

Patrick Robinson moved to Bethesda, Maryland, with one goal in mind. After a while, he had grown more jaded.

The world was changing around him, and people seemed to grow more apathetic as the years went by. The city also changed drastically. Crime rates were increasing, and unfortunately, Patrick was a part of the mess, whether he liked it or not.

He Had To Act

It was a chilly day with ominous clouds in the sky. It was already past noon, but people were still clutching their plastic cups. These motorists were utterly unconcerned.

He could not stand by and do nothing. There was a particular goal Patrick wanted to accomplish today, and he was determined to do it his way.

A Jungle

Nobody ever plans on becoming homeless. Patrick had never expected to find himself in this situation, yet here he was.

He observed other people on the street and tried to mimic them. It was chaos out there, and he completely understood the risks of the situation. The city was not kind to anyone, and you had to be strong and capable to survive.

He Could Not Sit Back

However, Patrick was not interested in just surviving. He wanted to make a real change. If being sly and underhanded was what was necessary, he was perfectly fine with it.

He’d seen far too many people end up on the street to simply lie and wait to become the next victim. His determination was increased since he now had greater motives.
