Jill Bauer was looking forward to a peaceful Saturday when she could wake up later and cozy under a blanket to enjoy a movie. But her plans were not to be.

She had awoken earlier than she would have liked to the sounds of her neighbor working in his yard. She had no idea what he was so adamant about doing early in the morning.

Her Neighbor

Jill could sleep through nothing and wake up to the slightest of sounds. She was not surprised when her eyes popped open when hearing her neighbor working in his yard, but it didn’t mean she was happy about it.

But soon, her anger about the noise would fade. She pulled open the curtain to see what her neighbor was doing, and that’s when she grew concerned.

Didn’t Know Him

Her neighbor had moved in recently, so she knew very little about him. She thought he was an ordinary guy who went to work at eight and would return at six, and she was starting to get used to the sound of him mowing his lawn that woke her up.

She considered him a quiet man and could tell he didn’t want to bother her.

But when Jill looked into his yard, she was surprised at what she saw.

Jill had seen someone deliver a bag to his door, and she wondered if it was fertilizer. She didn’t overthink it but wondered if his Saturday morning antics had anything to do with it.

She gazed around and saw the bag. He had apparently opened it and used some of what was inside.
