Man Who Rescued Two Lion Cubs Seven Years Ago Returns And Meets Them Face To Face

These two lion cubs, known as George and Yame, are brothers and frankly adorable. They are merely six-months-old and thus are small enough to handle.

Therein, however, lies the problem as these two cubs adorable nature has caused many problems for them.

Recovered And Recovering

These young cubs are recovering from quite an ordeal as a result of animal dealers who mistreated and exploited the pair. Fortunately, since being rescued from a Spanish amusement park, the pair is much healthier now.

Scheme Park

The cubs were owned by the popular Terra Mitica Park. The park is visited by thousands of tourists every year and instead of letting the cubs roam free in their enclosures, the park had another idea for the young brothers.

Photo Op

Instead of running freely, the pair were available for photos by the park. Despite the fact that treating wild animals like this is bad, it gets worse.

Not only could tourists take photos for 10 Euros a shot, but the cubs were also offered as props, allowing tourists to hold them and pose with the young cubs.

Social Outcry

After some British animal lovers became aware of the cubs, they started a global campaign on Facebook to end the way the cubes were used. It might sound like an innocent enough action but this kind of animal treatment is banned all over Europe.
